Rowing is an aerobic exercise that works almost every major muscle group.

Instructions

How to perform a Row:

Sit straight on the rowing machine seat and place feet inside foot plate stirrups.  Grasp the bar with an overhand grip.

  • Bend your knees and extend your arms out towards the wheel of the machine. Your back should be only slightly arched.

  • Extend your legs, pushing backwards.

  • Pull your arms into your chest, bending your elbows.

  • Extend your arms forward, so that your hands pass your knees.

  • Bend your knees back into your chest to return to <2/position 2>.
