Ring Push Up

The ring push up is a variation on the standard Push Up. It is performed on rings that are hung about a foot off the ground.

Instructions

How to perform a Ring Push Up:

Position yourself on the floor, as if doing a [Push Up]. Grasp the rings with your palms facing each other.  Your hands should be shoulder width apart, but you may bring them closer if you cannot keep the rings stable. Your weigh should be on your hands and toes. Your body should be straight, with your feet, hips, and head in a straight line.

  • Bend your elbows, lowering your entire body towards the floor. Try to keep the rings from moving too much.

  • Lower yourself until your chest is almost touching your hands.
