The Push Press is a strength and power building exercise that uses your legs to assist in a standard Shoulder Press.

Instructions

How to perform a Push Press:

Stand straight while holding a barbell at chest level, keeping the back of your hands against your chest.

  • Bend your knees slightly.

  • Explosively extend your arms and legs to drive the barbell straight up.

  • Catch the bar with your arms fully extended and you knees slightly bent.

  • Finish by fully extending your legs while holding the bar overhead.
