The Shoulder Press is a compound strength exercise that targets the shoulders. This exercise is most commonly done with a barbell but can also be done with dumbbells.
How to perform a Shoulder Press:
Stand, grasping a barbell in an overhand grip, resting on your shoulders.
Begin to straighten your arms, lifting the weight above you.
Continue to lift the weight until your elbows are locked. Maintain a tight core and straight body throughout the movement. As your arms reach full extension, your head should be forward of the bar.
