The diamond push up is a variation on the classic push up with hands placed close together. This places more emphasis on the triceps and less on the chest.
How to perform a Diamond Push Up:
Position yourself on the floor, resting on your hands and toes. Your hands should be very close together, with the forefinger and thumb of each hand connecting to form a diamond. Your body should be in a straight line.
Bend your elbows, lowering your entire body towards the floor. Your body should be in a line, with your back straight.
Lower your body until your chest, chin and quads touch the ground at the same time.
Push yourself back up to position 1 by straightening your arms.
