The assisted dip is a variation of the dip that reduces the amount of strength required to perform the exercise. It can be done using a counter weight, bands, or other method of reducing body weight.
How to perform a Assisted Dip:
Grasp the dip bars with the palms of your hands facing your body.
Lift your knees one at a time onto the kneepad of the machine.
Gently put your weight on the kneepad so that it lowers down while you bend your elbows backwards.
Lower down until your elbows are at 90 degrees.
Extend your elbows straight up as you lift your body up until your arms are completely straight.
Lower back down so you are back in position 4.
