Triceps Pushdown

The triceps pushdown is a triceps isolation exercise. This exercise is most commonly done using a cable with a bar attachment but can also be done with a rope attachment.

Instructions

How to perform a Triceps Pushdown:

Stand facing the weight machine at the end with the cable so that your feet are approximately hip width apart.

  • Grasp the bar with an overhand grip. The bar should be level with your chest.

  • Push down on the bar until your arms are straight down in front of you. Ensure your elbows are tucked in and close to your body.

  • Return the bar back up to the position in <2/position 2> in a controlled manner.
