Seated Row

The seated row is a weight training exercise that targets most back muscles. This exercise is normally done using a cable row machine, but can also be done using resistance bands hooked to a stable object.

Instructions

How to perform a Seated Row:

Sit straight up on the bench of the machine with your legs straight out and hooked into the pegs below the bench.

  • Grasp the handles of the bar so that your knuckles are facing outwards and your palms are facing each other.

  • Pull the handles all the way towards your chest keeping your elbows pulled in tight to your body.

  • Straighten your arms back out in front of you, returning to <2/position 2>.
