The pulldown is an isolation exercise that targets your outer back.

Instructions

How to perform a Pulldown:

Sit on the bench on the weight machine so that you are facing the machine and the bar is over your head.
Grasp the pulldown bar in an overhand grip with your arms approximately shoulder width apart.
  • Sit on the bench on the weight machine so that you are facing the machine and the bar is over your head.

  • Pull the bar down towards your chest with your elbows bent and pulled in close to your body.

  • Touch the bar to the top of your chest.

  • In a controlled manner, straighten your arms and allow the bar to go back up so that you resume <2/position 2>.
