Lunge

The lunge is a weight training exercise for your lower body. It is most commonly done with a set of dumbbells but can also be done with a barbell resting on the back of your shoulders.

Instructions

How to perform a Lunge:

Stand with your feet approximately hip width apart, dumbbells down at the side of your body.

  • Take a big step forward with one foot.

  • Bend the knee of your front leg until your thigh is parallel with the ground as you also bend the back leg so that the knee comes down towards the ground. The back leg should be balanced on the toes.
