A handstand push up is an advanced upper body exercise that requires significant strength and stability. This exercise can be done from a freestanding handstand, or up against a wall for support.

Instructions

How to perform a Handstand Push Up:

Place your hands on the floor approximately 3 inches from a wall.

  • Kick your legs into the air and get into a handstand position.

  • Bend your arms and lower your body towards the floor in a controlled motion.

  • Continue to lower your body towards the floor until your head makes light contact with the floor.

  • Extend your arms and push your body up.

    Extend your arms and push your body up.

  • Continue to push until your arms are fully extended and you have returned to <1/position 1>.
