Chin Up

The chin up is a variation of the pull up. It uses more of the biceps than a pull up.

Instructions

How to perform a Chin Up:

Grasp the pull up bar with your palms facing you, approximately shoulder width apart. Hang from the bar, so that your arms and legs are completely straight.
  • Grasp the pull up bar with your palms facing you, approximately shoulder width apart. Hang from the bar, so that your arms and legs are completely straight.

  • Bend your elbows and pull your chest up towards the bar. Your legs should remain still.

  • Raise your body up until your shoulders are above the bar.

    Raise your body up until your shoulders are above the bar.

  • Lower back down in a controlled manner so that you are back in <1/position 1>.
