The front raise is a weight training exercise that isolates the front shoulder muscles.

Instructions

How to perform a Front Raise:

Stand, hold dumbbells with your arms straight down in front of you, palms facing legs.

  • Lift your arms up, making sure that you have a slight bend in your elbow. Ensure no momentum is used to raise the weights.

  • Bring your arms to shoulder level.

    Bring your arms to shoulder level.

  • Lower your arms back down to <1/position 1>.

    Lower your arms back down to position 1.
