Over the last 6 months, development of WithFit slowed and eventually completely stopped as our company has been busy working on other projects.
At one time, we harbored hopes that we would be able to return to WithFit to make it the site we think it can be. As more and more time passes, however, it has become evident that we simply won’t have the time.
While we have no plans to disable, transfer, or otherwise change the service in any way, we will be examining all options for the future of WithFit, including the transfer of WithFit to other entities. If you’re concerned about the future of any of your data, you may both export your data and permanently close your account (which deletes your data) on your settings page.
We thank all of you for taking the time to use our service and helping us make it what is is. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know. We’d be especially interested in hearing any ideas as to how WithFit could continue to be developed.

We have another new feature for you this week: RSS feeds for programs. Now you can get your daily workouts in your favorite RSS reader. Give it a try at http://www.withfit.com/programs/CrossFit+Main+Page.

We just put up an update adding two new features:
- Program Analysis Pages (sample) – as a completely unbiased user of WithFit, I can attest that these are pretty sweet. Program analysis pages give a detailed look into how a program is structured. How much variation is there in the workouts and exercises it uses? What muscles does it target? What type of programming does it use? If there’s anything else you think these pages should do, let us know.
- Twitter Connect – You can now connect your account to Twitter, just as you could for Facebook. You can now automatically share your progress on Twitter. This can be enabled in your settings.
We also moved the tabs on all major pages to the left. This was to make it clearer what features are available on each page.
If you have any feedback about what you’d like to see us work on next, drop a note in the comments.

As we mentioned in the last update, we made changes to allow us to roll out updates with greater frequency. So here’s another update just a few weeks later.
What’s new?
- More ways to share. After logging a workout, there are now links to share your workouts on Twitter and Facebook. We also improved Facebook integration, began integrating Twitter, and added share links to your progress pages. Expect more changes and improvements to come in this area as well.
- New search pages, error messages, and more. The search pages on your calendar have been improved to be clearer and give you more options. We also changed the look of our error messages and some other sections.
- Program changes. We’ve given program creators improved email controls and the ability to copy existing workouts.

One of WithFit’s primary aims is to help you share your fitness. It gives you easy URLs to share your calendar, progress, and other pages. It also integrates with Facebook to post your workouts to your wall. I think we can still do better.
Very shortly, we’ll be adding support to Twitter your workout results. We’ll be tweaking our Facebook sharing so that you have better control over which results you share. The style and format of the messages will also be improved.

(When I’m not coding for WithFit I write lyrics for LMFAO.)
We’re unbelievably excited to finally be bringing you the feature so many have been clamoring for. As of a few minutes ago, our latest update went live. The largest new feature is a progress page that displays your improvements across exercises and workouts with beautiful graphs.
WithFit can now break down components of your workouts to show your progress on individual parts. This means you can see how you’ve gotten better at Push Ups or Deadlift regardless of the workouts they are a part of. Progress pages also support easy linking, which makes it simple to share your improvements.
We made some other changes as well, including:
Quick Logging / Adding
There’s now a “quick log” feature that makes it very quick to log workouts that consist of a single exercise or activity. For program owners, it’s similarly easy to add single exercise workouts to programs.
Redesigned Homepage
Your home on WithFit now has tabs for your calendar, progress, activity, as well as any workouts and programs that you’ve created. Your homepage now has your picture as well as some other tweaks.
Workflow Changes
We’ve changed the way we update WithFit so that we can roll out updates more frequently and with less headaches. We’re not pleased with how long we went between updates and expect future changes to come quicker.
Other tweaks, bug fixes, and improvements
A lot of other WithFit features saw minor bugs squashed, components redesigned, usability increases and other small changes.

The calendar now displays days inside and outside of the month. It’s also a lot faster!
There may be a few other minor tweaks and improvements strewn about. Keep your eyes open.

We rolled out a mid-sized update today that included some major changes for program admins and minor changes (mainly bug fixes) for everyone else. We’ll be announcing more information about the program changes in the next week.
